Experience at Hong Kong International Music Festival 2025

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Hong Kong International Music Festival 2025 – one of the most prestigious international music events, held annually in Hong Kong, bringing together a large number of scholars, performing artists, conductors, music educators, international judges, and many distinguished guests from all over the world.

The atmosphere of the event was not merely about performances or professional discussions, but truly a complete cultural and artistic journey, where people shared knowledge, spread inspiration, and promoted the sustainable development of music in the era of globalization.

A meaningful academic – artistic journey

Attending this festival gave me the chance to explore the latest global music trends, ranging from in-depth theoretical research, teaching methodologies, to innovations in performance and composition. The workshops, group discussions, and thematic presentations opened up a broader perspective on the role of music in modern society – not only as art but also as a tool to connect people and foster creative thinking.

In addition, the opportunity to directly interact and exchange experiences with international colleagues helped me better understand how music is being taught and performed in different countries. This was a valuable opportunity to expand collaborative networks and lay the foundation for future projects where music can serve as a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world.

International certification – a significant milestone

During the event, I was honored to receive an official certificate of participation from the Organizing Committee of the Hong Kong International Music Festival 2025.

This certificate carries several meanings:

  • Professional aspect: It is a recognition of the learning and research process at a prestigious international academic forum, contributing to the enhancement of professional value and credibility.

  • Spiritual aspect: It reflects a commitment to continuous learning, knowledge cultivation, and trend updates in order to contribute more to the development of music in the country.

  • Future orientation: From this milestone, I expect to expand more opportunities for collaboration, research, and performance with international colleagues, lecturers, and artists in the near future.

It can be said that this certificate is not just a piece of paper, but a symbol of effort and a journey of sustainable growth, motivating me to stay steadfast in my mission to pursue both music and music education.

Meeting and networking with leading experts

One of the most memorable highlights was the chance to meet, talk, and take commemorative photos with international experts:

  • Professor Dr. Alejandro Drago – Jazz and Classical artist, chairman of the jury board of many international music competitions, and Director of the UND Chamber Orchestra (USA).

  • Anna Reid – Keynote speaker of the Teacher Conference at Hong Kong 2025, Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Australia).

The insights, directions, and visions shared by international masters inspired me greatly and opened up new pathways in my teaching career and future music activities.

Significance of the event

Attending the Hong Kong International Music Festival 2025 was not only a remarkable milestone in my professional development journey but also carried values that extended beyond the framework of an international music event.

First of all, it was a source of personal pride to be present at a prestigious international forum, to learn directly from the world’s leading experts, and to be recognized with an official certificate. More importantly, the greatest value was the opportunity to bring international knowledge and essence back to be applied in Vietnam.

Through what I learned from workshops, presentations, and in-depth exchanges with international scholars and artists, I believe that:

  • New knowledge: Modern trends in music education, multidimensional teaching methods, and advanced training models can be adjusted and applied appropriately in the Vietnamese context.

  • Creative inspiration: Music is not only about performance art, but also a tool to nurture the soul, develop thinking, and create social cohesion. This spirit can spread strongly when applied to educational programs, performances, and community exchanges.

  • Opportunities for cooperation: The international connections built at the festival will open up possibilities for long-term cooperation in research, training, and performance, giving Vietnamese students and artists greater access to the global music environment.

Therefore, the greatest significance of the event does not lie in the certificate I received, but in the ability to turn international experiences into practical values – contributing to the development of the domestic music community, encouraging the young generation to nurture their passion, and gradually bringing Vietnamese music into the global flow.
